Job Responsibilities
* Work closely with the school's pastoral team as a learning mentor, providing support to students in overcoming learning barriers.
* Lead initiatives targeting individual and small groups of students, creating an environment conducive to learning and personal development.
* Establish and maintain open communication channels with teaching staff, parents/carers, and additional needs/EAL staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
* Supervise and support students in the Focus Area, offering guidance on tasks, ensuring completion of assignments, and collecting work.
* Maintain accurate daily records and efficiently perform necessary administrative tasks.
* Develop and implement personalized action plans for students identified by the pastoral team, conducting individual or small group meetings based on a predetermined schedule.
* Collaborate with the pastoral team to innovate and implement effective support and intervention packages for students.
Job Requirements
You must:
1. Be eligible to work in the UK
2. Have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK in the last 3 years
3. Have up to date professional childcare-related references (covering the last 2 years)
4. Have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service or be happy to apply for one
