Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer (Shifts)
Shifts: Nights - 3 on 3 off 12 hours OR Days - 4 on 4 off 12 Hours
£28K - £36K plus option of overtime

What will you be doing?
* Service, repair, adjust, and test mechanical equipment. Identify potential failures, determine causes, and either resolve issues or inform supervisors.
* Remove and replace worn parts.
* Assemble and install pipe systems for various applications (e.g., steam, water, heating, drainage, industrial systems). Modify, clean, and maintain these systems.
* Preventative maintenance, perform scheduled tasks, monitor key equipment (cooling towers, pressure systems, production machinery), and ensure compliance with legislation. Develop preventative tasks using manuals and failure history.
* Prevent equipment damage, accidents, or injuries through proper maintenance. Conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, and ensure safe equipment handover.
* Address incident reports and work with managers to prevent recurrence. Respond to equipment failures promptly and solve issues with steam boilers. Report faults and solutions via a computerized system.
* Identify and implement equipment and process improvements. Suggest ways to reduce time for activities and enhance efficiency.
* Plan, install, inspect, and repair pipe systems. Secure pipes using appropriate methods and tools and fabricate or disassemble products as needed.
* Stay updated on technical knowledge and apply new skills.
* Train others and effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.

* Apprenticeship-served Mechanical and Engineering Maintenance Engineer with electrical knowledge.
* Proficient in repairing and maintaining Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, including parts replacement.
* Strong problem-solving skills and adept at fault finding.
* Experienced in using hand/power tools, measuring devices, reading technical drawings, and pipe fitting techniques.
