Teachwise is currently looking for a skilled and experienced behaviour mentor for a local secondary academy based in Manchester. The role will begin after Easter and will continue on a full-time basis, 5 days per week until the summer.
The role will involve working with pupils across KS3 & KS4 who are dis-engaged and exhibit challenging behaviour. You will need to have excellent communication skills coupled with an ability to engage with pupils from a wide array of backgrounds.
The position would suit someone who has previously worked as a behaviour mentor within a secondary school setting or someone who has worked with secondary age pupils within a sports club, youth club or outreach.
Key skills:
1. Experience working with pupils across KS3/4
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Ability to engage and build rapport quickly
4. Ability to manage and improve challenging behaviour
5. Committed to pupil progress and positive outcomes
6. Available for work after Easter on a full-time basis
7. Hold right to work in the UK
8. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
