The post holder will also seek to establish and sustain effective working relationships with Senior Managers and colleagues, providing constructive challenge, professional advice, and support. You will be self-motivated, confident and proactive in developing and leading new initiatives and will have proven experience of business transformation in the private or public sector including business analysis techniques and successful redesign of service delivery including the use of ICT to maximise efficiencies through application of Lean Systems Thinking and the principles of PRINCE 2 Project Management. Working in a complex and fluid environment, you will be confident and competent at managing your own workload and possess the appropriate skills to matrix manage multidisciplinary project teams and a team of Project Officers supporting multiple projects. You will need to be tenacious and resilient taking responsibility for decisions and issues, leading and empowering others. Using your strong critical analysis and decision-making skills you will be able to prioritise work that needs to be done against the capacity and resources; flagging risks, issues and dependencies and mitigation where applicable. Educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline or able to demonstrate sufficient relevant experience and competence and holding a formal project management qualification, ideally PRINCE2 Practitioner, you will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to quickly understand and communicate complex issues to all stakeholders. The post holder should possess a current driving licence willing to travel to other authorities and external events to fulfil the role. There will be a requirement to attend meeting outside normal office hours.
