You are invited to apply for the post of Cyber Security Analyst to join the Information Security team within the University’s Directorate of Digital and Information Services for a period of 6 months.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cyber Security Analyst to support University of Aberdeen security objectives and contribute to the assessment and continual improvement of the institutional Cyber Security posture. We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual with a good general understanding of IT infrastructure who has a desire to develop or expand their cyber security skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently and effectively monitoring and reporting on the security posture of IT systems and networks including vulnerability scanning; assessing and responding to potential cyber threats; promoting awareness of Cyber Security issues to Staff and Students; and providing security input to projects. This will involve working with other technical teams within the Directorate including the Desktop, Server, Networks and Application areas.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale (£26,642 - £30,505 per annum, pro-rata), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
