Job overview
We are delighted to be seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic clinician from a Child and Adolescent Mental Health background with specialist training in The Incredible Years Parenting Programme.
The GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre was established in 2000 to run a Postgraduate Diploma programme in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in partnership with the University of Manchester. We have since expanded our portfolio to include more than 20 programmes/pathways in evidence based psychological therapies training across a broad range of therapeutic modalities, mostly at postgraduate level. We have been highly successful in attracting funding from NHS England as part of national projects aimed at Improving Access to Psychological Therapies across Adult and Children & Young Peoples’ services, and now employ over 90 staff, most of them also in current clinical practice, and train in excess of 400 students per year.
Main duties of the job
Prospective candidates for the PT course will be experienced clinicians with specialist training in The Incredible Years Parenting Programme and a track record in the delivery of specialist IY groups. They will have experience of supervising and training practitioners in relation to parenting work. The role also includes the provision of support in specialist Incredible Years teaching for trainees on the CYP- PT Course and contribution to marking of clinical work for the training programme.
