Role Overview
Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (‘MLS’). This role sits within our MLS team.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate (7+ years PQE in English Law) with a strong background in asset management to join our Managed Legal Services team, supporting our Property group.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with supervisory experience and an understanding of delivering excellent client service to our client with a large property portfolio, to play a critical role in guiding the legal and strategic operations for their portfolio.
Responsibilities
1. Working as the lead legal advisor on asset management for a major food and beverage client with an extensive property portfolio.
2. Ensuring compliance with asset management and food and beverage specific regulations.
3. Leading negotiation, drafting and oversight of leases, licences, variations, surrenders, extensions, consents and related agreements.
4. Proactively managing legal risks, especially those unique to the food and beverage industry.
5. Leading, managing and developing a team of legal professionals, sharing expertise in asset management fostering a high-performance culture.
6. Acting as the main legal point of contact for the client and internal teams, offering insights and solutions that align with the client’s strategic goals.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
1. Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 7+ years’ PQE in English Law, preferably gained within a busy asset management team.
2. Extensive experience in asset management preferably with some experience in the food and beverage sector.
3. Experience with complex asset management portfolios or large client accounts.
4. Proven supervisory experience with strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Proficiency in the use of legal technology platforms and digital tools to manage client portfolios, track performance and compliance, and make data-driven decisions.
