Newington Green Alliance is a UK registered charity carrying out events and other projects geared toward building community connections and relationships across all the many ethnic, cultural, class, and other differences in the areas of Hackney and Islington surrounding Newington Green, London.
ROLE:
We are seeking volunteers to carry out grant-writing and other fundraising work to enable NGA to do more and better community-building work in an expanding geographical area.
We are seeking both experienced volunteers and those with an interest in fundraising and the sorts of skills that could help them to become capable fundraisers.

Skills Description:
We are seeking both experienced volunteers and those with an interest in fundraising and the skills that could help them to become capable fundraisers. Applicants inexperienced in becoming volunteer NGA fundraisers should:
- Have good facility with IT use including internet searching, email, use of Google Workspace, and a basic understanding of databases.
- Feel comfortable making calls and connecting and working productively with representatives of outside organisations.
- Be able to write fluently and professionally in English.
- Have an ability to write persuasively.
- Be capable of weighing a variety of complex factors in making choices.
- Have excellent organisational skills to keep track of a variety of different types of information.
- Have the ability to devote at least 3 hours per week for at least 6 months to their volunteering work.

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per week on average
