We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Product Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards throughout concept to production. You will play a key role in identifying and mitigating potential quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Drawing Quality Checks & Sign-off: Review and approve engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, tolerance analysis, and compliance with industry standards.
2. Process & Production Design: Participate in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, including production line layouts, assembly methods, and tooling.
3. Quality Control: Implement and monitor robust quality control systems, including inspection procedures, sampling plans, release criteria, and statistical process control (SPC) techniques with Cpk/Ppk.
4. Product Quality Audits: Conduct regular internal and external quality audits to assess product conformance and identify areas for improvement in accordance with ISO9001.
5. FMEA Analysis: Conduct thorough Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), including Design FMEA (DFMEA) and Process FMEA (PFMEA), to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and failures.
6. Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/DFA): Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and assembly.
7. Measuring Reports: Generate and analyze measuring reports and MSAs, ensuring alignment with engineering drawings and specifications.
8. Document Review Reports: Review relevant documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and quality plans related to the NPD process.
9. Process Jigs & Fixtures Ownership: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, and other tooling.
10. Part & Assembly Quality: Ensure quality of all parts and assemblies throughout production, from raw materials to finished goods.
11. Work Instructions: Develop and maintain clear work instructions aligned with product drawings and specifications.
12. Production & Assembly Line Qualification: Participate in qualifying new production lines and processes to meet quality standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Skills & Experience:
* 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
* Proficiency in FMEA, DFM/DFA, and other quality tools.
* Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Attention to detail and results-oriented approach.
* Experience with ERP and/or PLM systems is a plus.
