This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong, experienced Sales or Business Development Manager to join a successful, highly regarded coatings application and industrial process company which is primed to deliver and enjoy further profitable growth. From its North West base and through an effective network of contacts through the industrial market supply chain, the company has ambitious plans for further growth, supported through consistent management alongside the company’s market strength and experience.
The company wishes to use current expertise to build significant relationships across the supply chain to remain at the forefront of their chosen sectors and to ensure that ambitious business growth plans are realised.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the appointee will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the company. This includes building and delivering the sales pipeline through establishing strong relationships with existing, new, and potential clients across the marketplace, as well as responsibility for the promotional and marketing of the business into both existing and new markets.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the application and sale of industrial coatings into B2B markets, be able to work comfortably and effectively across all levels of both large and small FMCG organisations, and have a clear understanding of the supply chain. This is a senior, influential, and highly significant appointment for the company, and the right individual will enjoy the opportunity to contribute to the overall long-term development of the wider business.
Candidates, ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, will have a demonstrable and successful track record in the development and leadership of commercial activity, along with strategic thinking, strong teamwork, a high level of integrity, and a desire to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Experienced in small business scale-up, along with the development and successful closure of new business opportunities, the appointee will demonstrate drive, tenacity, ‘presence’, maturity, confidence, humility, and strong financial awareness coupled with exemplary communication & presentation skills.
