LTA are seeking a Level 1-3 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support to children with SEN at a fantastic Specialist School in the Chorley area. This new SEN Teaching Assistant role is a full-time temporary position covering 5 days per week, from 08:30 - 15:30. This role is starting September and then is on an ongoing basis with a view to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school empowers pupils to develop key skills for life.
The candidate must have a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Previous experience with Personal Care and Manual Handling would be beneficial, but not essential.
Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:
•Monitoring targets for future progress•Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers•Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils•Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school’s practice•Excellent behaviour management skills
