The Role
As a key member of our Online Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in further developing each of our brands’ competitive positioning and improving our search rankings.
Duties and Responsibilities: (key responsibilities will include but are not limited to)
1. Writing high-quality content for commercial landing pages, insurance guides, press releases and email newsletters
2. Using SEO tools to research and plan new website content, taking into account relevant SEO metrics as part of each content plan
3. Creating content briefs for our external content agencies or freelancers, including keyword targeting, internal linking and metadata requirements
4. Proofreading, fact-checking and editing content written by our agencies and freelancers
5. Becoming a go-to expert in content creation for other Seopa teams, particularly with regards to financial services content (insurance, loans, mortgages, bank accounts etc), and collaborating with those teams to identify and capitalize on new opportunities for revenue-generating content across our comparison sites
6. Contributing to the overall content planning and maintenance of our websites
7. Assisting with the analysis of content performance in order to improve our websites’ clickthrough and conversion rates
8. Supporting other Seopa teams with content creation as and when required
9. Supporting Seopa’s email marketing, customer journey and social media experts with content writing and proofreading as and when required
10. Supporting Seopa’s PR team with proofreading, data analysis and other PR activities as and when required
11. Using creative thinking and data analysis to identify new product development opportunities
12. Producing SEO reports and analyses for the Marketing Manager
13. Any other reasonable tasks as required by the company
Personal Specification
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable passion for SEO, ideally with around 2 years’ hands-on digital marketing experience.
Academics: Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 classification or equivalent and 3 grade ‘B’s or above at A-Level are desirable, although not essential.
Experience:
1. Digital marketing experience is essential, and hands-on SEO experience in a digital marketing role would be particularly desirable
2. Given that Seopa is a fintech company it’s also vital that the successful SEO Executive is highly computer-literate, and familiarity with WordPress would also be highly desirable
3. Strong commercial awareness. Experience in financial services/insurance or a regulated environment is desirable, although this isn’t mandatory
Capabilities:
1. Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills are essential, with a meticulous attention to detail
2. Excellent skills in MS Office
3. Prior experience in generating video and social media content preferable.
4. Ability to multitask
5. Computer literate and quick to pick up new systems
6. Ability to manage projects and account manage external agencies
7. Ability to self-educate where and when required
