- £65,000 (DOE) Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Electronics Engineering Project Manager to join a leading organisation within the UK Defence sector.
This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to national security and innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the delivery of electronic engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including design, testing, production, and supply chain, to achieve project goals.
Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and risk management strategies.
Ensure compliance with MOD regulations, defence standards, and export control requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to manage requirements and expectations.
Produce regular reports and updates for senior management on project progress, risks, and milestones.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management and engineering processes.
Essential Requirements: Proven experience in project management within the defence, aerospace, or a highly regulated industry.
Strong understanding of electronic systems and engineering principles, ideally within defence electronics.
Familiarity with UK defence standards (e.g., DEF STAN) and Ministry of Defence (MOD) procedures.
Demonstrable experience managing full project lifecycles, including risk and change management.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or equivalent.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC or above).
Desirable Qualifications: A degree in Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., APM, PMI, or IET).
Experience working in a multi-national or collaborative environment.
