Description
Performs a variety of professional financial duties required to analyze, verify, and reconcile financial records; prepares financial reports; provides fiscal recommendations for the assigned office or department.
Qualifications
Required
* Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
* One (1) year of experience in fiscal or budget management.
o Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
* Knowledge of the theory, methods principles, and practices of financial management and generally accepted accounting principles and pronouncement of the governmental accounting standards board.
* Ability to analyze and evaluate financial and budget data and methods; ability to resolve problems.
* Capable of preparing appropriate statements, reports, budget submissions.
* Ability to manage assigned funds.
* Ability to effectively use automated financial systems.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
