Our client, a Top 100 law firm in London is looking to recruit a Solicitor with 2-4 years PQE to join their renowned Employment team.
You will work alongside senior and junior associates to support and assist on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious Employment work, acting for both corporate clients and individuals. The work is varied, interesting, and stimulating, enabling you to engage with clients at a senior level through your case work. You will take early responsibility for your work and be trusted to get on with things in a supportive, collaborative and sociable setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing for employment tribunal cases, including preparation of Claim/Response, Employment Tribunal Applications etc.
2. Advice on redundancy.
3. Enforcement of post termination agreements.
4. General advice - conduct of disciplinary investigations; grievance procedures; redundancy programmes; general queries about flexible working, maternity rights, paternity rights, etc.
5. Corporate support.
About You
The successful Employment Solicitor will:
1. Be an effective communicator.
2. Have the ability to handle meetings and negotiations.
3. Have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
4. Be able to work both independently and with other members of the Employment team.
5. Have previous experience within contentious & non-contentious Employment matters.
6. Have the ability to manage own files and delegate work to others.
7. Have a keen interest in business development and marketing.
