Are you an experienced pharmacist looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in transforming and modernising our pharmacy dispensary services. This 12-month fixed term or secondment offers the chance to contribute to national reform and transformation initiatives while developing your RPS advanced portfolio across the four pillars of advanced practice.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be a pivotal member of both the Pharmacy Dispensary Leadership Team and the Acute Leads Senior Pharmacist Team. You will work collaboratively to drive forward our vision of becoming a national leader in Pharmacy Technician-led services for medicine supply and distribution while also delivering innovative clinical pharmacy services. You will work closely with our Lead Dispensary Pharmacy Technician, Operational Service Manager, and Lead Clinical Pharmacist to develop a set of recommendations that will transform our current staffing model, enabling our clinical pharmacists to focus on advanced clinical pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership within the dispensary, working alongside the Lead Dispensary Pharmacy Technician to ensure the safe and efficient supply of medicines within the hospital.
* Support the development and implementation of a redesigned dispensary model that enhances efficiency and service delivery.
* Collaboratively develop proposals to allow for the release of pharmacists from traditional staffing models to expand advanced clinical pharmacy services.
* Actively participate in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive service improvements.

Additional Information
* This role requires working five days over seven, including weekends, public holidays, and participation in core-service rotas and the pharmacy emergency duty service where required.
