We have an exciting opportunity at Morriston hospital for a pharmacy technician to be part of the multidisciplinary successful candidate will work with nursing, medical and pharmacy colleagues to develop the service. All necessary training will be successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, have experience of working with the wider healthcare team, relish supporting patients and their families and have a professional approach.
The post holder will be expected to assist in providing a medicines management service and work towards achieving their Accredited checking pharmacy technician certificate and Medicines Management certificate.

Main duties of the job
We have an excellent opportunity within our friendly department for enthusiastic and motivated technicians to join our strong Pharmacy Team in delivering a high-quality service to our successful candidates will work on rotation between clinical services (ward and dispensary) and clinical trials. We are a department that is committed to the extended role of technicians, and you will be encouraged to develop your skills in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice in our busy department.Applicants will hold a valid BTEC & NVQ level 3 Pharmaceutical Science Certificate or a certificate of higher education in pharmacy technician practice and be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
If you have the ability to work using your own initiative, have good communication skills, a high level of accuracy and are keen to develop your skills this is the job for you!
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
