Arcola Products / UK Sign Shop are a leading print and signage company trading for over 50 years working from our large production facility based in Sittingbourne Kent.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality signage and a strong understanding of various materials and techniques used in sign production. This role requires hands-on experience in a print and signage environment and proficiency with both hand tools and power tools. As a Sign Maker, you will play a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life through innovative and eye-catching designs.
Responsibilities
* Assemble various types of signage, tray signs, LED signs, pop up displays, bespoke stands and furniture.
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to create signage components.
* Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
* Prepare materials for production, ensuring all components are cut, shaped, and finished to the highest standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace in the warehouse, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Conduct quality checks on completed signs to ensure they meet company standards before delivery or installation.
Skills
* Proficient in using power tools and hand tools related to sign making.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment as needed.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience in a print or signage company.
Desirable Skills
* Laser cutting
* Large format printing
* Table cutting
* CNC cutting
* Print finishing, vinyl applicating.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
