We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Tutor to join our team and support students in their academic journeys.
Job Description:
As a Secondary Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, subject-specific tutoring to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5). Your role will involve working with individual students to support their learning, boost their academic performance, and prepare them for exams, coursework, and assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one tutoring in a range of subjects.
* Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement, and create personalised learning plans.
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons to improve students' understanding of key concepts.
* Help students prepare for Functional Skills, GCSEs, A-levels, or other relevant assessments.
* Track and monitor students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
* Create a supportive and positive learning environment to encourage student confidence and engagement.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a tutor or teacher, ideally with secondary school students.
* A degree in Education and/or a relevant subject.
* Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and assessment requirements (GCSE, A-level, etc.).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
