**About the Role**
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of engineering equipment used in the Aerospace sector. They have a strong reputation in the industry for supplying high-quality products.
The Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's manufacturing process runs smoothly and in compliance with procedures. This includes defining, developing, and overseeing the implementation of new manufacturing processes or improvements to existing ones, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality while ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
* Organise and manage production workflows, integrating systems to meet performance and budget targets.
* Oversee tooling management and ensure accurate, up-to-date manufacturing documentation.
* Resolve production issues by collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and staff to maintain smooth operations.
* Evaluate compliance with safety and environmental regulations through risk assessments and internal audits.
The Candidate
Minimum 5 years' experience as a manufacturing engineer.
Ideally worked within the Aerospace sector or a regulated industry such as Automotive, Marine, Medical, Defence etc.
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using MRP/ERP systems.
Familiarity with electromechanical assembly.
Skilled in problem-solving, data analysis, and process improvement.
Experience with CI / Lean tools is preferred – Six Sigma, 8D, Fishbone, PFMEA, 5why, DMAIC.
Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
