Salary: £30-38k pa (3 day/ week pro-rata) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Contract type: 12 month fixed term, 3 days per week job share
Location: Office base is London Broadcasting House. This is a hybrid role - 1 day per week in the office. London weighting will apply to this role.

Job Information
We are currently seeking a Marketing Executive to join the BBC News Brand Marketing team. This role involves managing campaigns from start to finish and supporting the Marketing Manager with brand and content marketing. The main goals are to increase audience trust and boost news consumption on BBC iPlayer and Sounds.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to create campaign briefs that meet strategic goals across various media and platforms.
• Work closely with in-house editorial, audience, media, and creative teams.
• Review and evaluate creative responses to ensure alignment with campaign objectives.
• Assess media plans for campaigns to ensure suitability against the campaign brief.
• Lead the execution of creative assets and take responsibility for campaign delivery.
• Ensure campaign activities align with the Marketing Plan and understand the Strategic Planning process.
• Use insights from the Audience team to inform creative briefs.
• Contribute to campaign evaluations, share insights with stakeholders, and apply learnings to future initiatives.
• Stay updated on marketing, technology, and digital trends, integrating industry best practices into marketing plans when applicable.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
The Marketing Executive is expected to have established marketing experience within the media industry or an industry with similar scale and complexity.
The role requires:
• Knowledge of managing and delivering marketing campaigns, including evaluation
• Creativity - confident briefing and overseeing the production of effective marketing assets, both broadcast and digital
• Comfortable with analysing, understanding and explaining data and using it to inform and optimise campaigns
• Strong project management skills and ability to prioritise deadlines
• Excellent stakeholder management, with ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior managers across a range of disciplines.
• A collaborative approach - leading collaboration across organisational boundaries
• Organised and efficient in a fast-paced, reactive environment
• Proactive & good use of initiative
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Keen interest in news and current affairs
