Are you passionate about protecting the environment and working directly with people to drive real change? We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Environmental Performance Team as a Network Protection Investigator.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team. You’ll be at the heart of making our networks cleaner and safer, helping customers, communities, and the environment thrive.
This role covers the Maple Lodge and Mogden area.
What will you be doing as a Network Protection Investigator?
* Work with customers to actively reduce blockages, sewage flooding, and pollution; protecting our network, customers, and the environment.
* Be the sole worker for your area.
* Support and educate customers in grease management and correct disposal of waste.
* Engage with customers daily on best kitchen practices to stop the misuse of drains and prevent further 'Fatbergs' from forming.
* This is a Monday to Friday position (36 hrs) with some evening visits required; flexible working hours can be accommodated.
What should you bring to the role?
* Experience managing diverse customer relationships.
* Confident and persuasive communicator at all levels, both written and verbal.
* Dedicated person who can work alone effectively, managing your own time to deliver results.
* Team player who can work towards a team objective while managing your workload remotely.
* Ability to use an Android Smartphone and basic knowledge of MS Office (training provided).
* Desirable knowledge of the sewer network (training provided).
* A clean driving license is essential as the role involves working across several areas in the region. A company vehicle will be provided.
