An opportunity exists in the Council’s Street Scene Services for an Administrative Assistant working 14.5 hours (Thursday - Friday) per week from our Depot at Newton Bar, Wakefield. What will be expected from me? This post will provide operational and administrative support to the Street Scene Officers and Supervisors in delivering a high quality citizen focused outward facing Street Scene service within the Wakefield District. What I might be doing? The post holder as part of their roles and responsibilities will: Undertake administrative duties on specific aspects of the work of Street Scene Services under the direction of senior staff. Participate in the team working approach to the allocation of duties within Street Scene Services. Contribute to the maintenance of good employee relations within the Street Scene Service. Work within recognised safe systems of work at all times. Deal with telephone/email enquiries received by the service. Update service requests directly into the Councils ICT systems. Responsible for checking and allocating enquiries from the group mail boxes on a daily basis and ensure appropriate communications are made. Responsible for the production and distribution of daily record sheets and attendance records for front line operational staff. Essential requirements: City and Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in Office Administration or related subject. Minimum of 4 GCSE passes (A-C) including English and Maths. What can I expect?
