Job Overview This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months due to maternity cover. The successful applicant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Clinical Engineering, EBME and Medical Devices Training Teams in Glan Clwyd Hospital. The post requires the ability to prioritise various demands and to work for considerable periods without direct supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring continuity of patient services by operating the EBME Help Desk. Liaise with School Nurses and Health Visitors and other clinic staff regarding calibration of audiometers. Undertake administrative duties normally associated with correspondence, reports, summaries, letters, memorandums and other similar documentation with regard to Arterial leg Doppler studies, upper and lower GI physiology tests. Administer the Medical Devices Training Section. Main duties of the job Handling all incoming Doppler test referrals – in-patients and out-patients Sending out patient appointment letters and managing waiting list Sending results out to referrers and scanning/filing them on shared drives Coordination of audiology equipment calibration – involving day-to-day contact with audiology staff across BCUHB in relation to planned calibration sessions and repairs. Using the equipment database (e-Quip) to manage audiology calibrations, including updating on jobs, running queries on equipment calibration status, sending ‘equipment not available’ letters out and chasing up outstanding equipment. Organising medical device training sessions, liaising with wards/departments Being the point of contact for staff to book onto schedules training sessions Full secretariat support for West, Central and East Medical Device Groups Liaising with the Continuing Healthcare teams to organise nursing home training sessions Maintaining training records and keeping KPIs on training figures Ordering of various equipment and consumables on the Oracle procurement system The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
