Senior Building Surveyor Job in Romford, London
Senior Building Surveyor job for an established building consultancy based in Romford, East London. Offering a salary of up to £70,000 and hybrid working.
The consultancy has long-standing repeat clients and offers an all-encompassing service to their client base in the private and public sectors. Their team of 30 is split between site inspection, quantity surveying, project management, and building surveying. They offer a friendly work atmosphere with a focus on work-life balance and cover projects in London and the South East. To be considered for this opportunity you must demonstrate experience in both professional services and project management from a consultancy background.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Full range of project and professional duties working for both private and public sector across residential, commercial, retail, education, leisure, industrial and healthcare refurb and remedial projects.
2. Fire Risk Assessments (training can be provided).
3. Project work including preparing tender documents and post contract administration.
4. JCT Intermediate and JCT Design and Build contracts.
5. Recording information from site and produce clear and concise written reports.
6. Site surveys and reporting (Schedules of Condition, Defect Diagnosis, etc.).
7. Condition survey reports for planned maintenance and asset expenditure planning.
8. Prepare tender documents for refurbishment and alteration works.
9. Party wall surveying.
10. Dilapidations.
11. Specifications and schedules.
12. Feasibility estimates.
Required Skills & Experience
1. 5+ years' experience.
2. MRICS or MCIOB or relevant experience all considered.
3. Consultancy background is essential.
4. Excellent client facing skills.
5. Refurbishment and or remedial project management experience.
6. Professional services experience i.e. condition surveys and defect diagnosis.
7. Fire Risk Assessment would be advantageous (however training can be provided).

1. Salary of £55,000 - £70,000 (negotiable).
