As a Property Surveyor, you will provide professional advice in relation to the Company’s operational land and buildings.
You will focus on the high-end cases of Property Management within the company and assist the Property Project Board with the delivery of the capital investment programme across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: • Day to day management of the company’s operational portfolios including substation sites and Telecommunications facilities rents and income• Provide professional advice and support on the company’s operational property portfolio• Effectively manage land and property acquisitions and disposals• Effectively manage Statutory notices in relation to lease renewals/terminations and rent reviews• Project management of capital investment schemes, to include planning requirements, engagement and communication with internal and external stakeholders• Instruct and manage cases with external legal firms and surveying consultants• Meet all compliance matters both legislative and internal• Assist wit the delivery of Net Zero and decarbonization through appropriate property transactions and negotiations.
Key Competencies:• Ability to work individually without direct supervision and deliver key department objectives to a high standard• Proven ability to work collaboratively across the Property team and the wider business• Proven communication, influencing and people skills and the ability to present effectively at all levels from frontline colleagues to senior management.• Proactive attitude and work ethic and want to make a real difference • Ability to deal with a demanding workload and manage priorities effectively Qualifications and Attributes Essential qualifications and experience: • Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject (Estate Management, Property Related Field) •Chartered member of RICS or working towards accreditation Desirable qualifications and experience: • Knowledge of or experience working in the electricity and telecoms industry •Knowledge of or experience working on easements and wayleaves •Experience of sustainable solutions to contribute to net zero targets •Member of appropriate professional body
