Missing Project Worker

Our client is seeking a Missing Project Worker to join a team based in Ashton Under Lyne.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct return to home interviews with children and young people who are returning home following a missing episode.
* Establish what has caused them to run away, what experiences and individuals they encountered whilst away, and what could help resolve the issues that the child identifies.
* Complete specialist exploitation assessments, risk reduction, and support plans.
* Deliver interventions to address concerns such as violence, substance misuse, ACEs, and the impact of trauma.
* Provide support to protect them from harm and prevent risks.
* Ensure the appropriate provision of help and support with the aim of reducing missing from home episodes.
* Work with partner agencies to provide appropriate services.
* Escalate any immediate safeguarding concerns.
* Ensure the appropriate gathering of information to be shared with Children's Social Care, Police, and other services as relevant.
* Build trusting working relationships.
* Maintain records of services provided to service users.
* Attend meetings, reviews, and conferences where necessary.
Requirements:
* DL, access to a vehicle, business insurance.
* Recent experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
* Direct experience and a thorough understanding of the challenges of working with young people who are victims at risk of or being criminally exploited by organised criminal gangs.
* Good knowledge of child protection safeguarding processes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service.
