Derbyshire Community Health Services has a great opportunity for a Technical Instructor to join our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy team.
This role is mainly based in the Derbyshire Dales area (Bakewell/Darley Dale), with some duties in Buxton, both of which offer an easy commute from neighbouring counties.
This job is advertised as part-time but full-time hours may be considered. Various hours are available to support flexible working.

Main duties of the job
The post will be flexible to move across sites according to department and service needs; therefore the ability to travel will be essential.
As a Technical Instructor working within our service you will:
1. Provide highly skilled support to Physiotherapists, aiding the rehabilitation of patients in the Outpatient Physiotherapy Service.
2. Provide initial assessment for designated patient groups, as agreed with Physiotherapy Team Lead.
3. Work single-handed and unsupervised when appropriate in the outpatient department, without direct supervision or presence of a Physiotherapist.
4. Plan and provide ongoing treatment, education and instruction to their caseload of patients seen in both individual and group settings. This will include some evaluation and progression of treatment programmes with access to the support of a Physiotherapist if required.
5. Be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, cleaning & testing of Physiotherapy equipment and treatment areas, adhering to department and Trust policy.

Education, Qualifications & Training
* English Language pass at GCSE Level (or equivalent)
* Maths pass at GCSE Level (or equivalent)
* NVQ3 or equivalent in relevant health care subject (or working towards)
Experience & Knowledge
* Experience of working in a Health, Community or Social Care setting.
* Experience of working in Physiotherapy.
* Experience of working in the NHS.
