Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Flow assurance and Process Engineers, as well as Metering Measurement and Allocation Consultants to join our growing Production optimisation teams based in Aberdeen and Staines.
We recognise the value of remote and hybrid working so are open to applications throughout the UK. We are also looking to grow across the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region so will consider candidates from other locations too.
The Role
Due to significant growth plans for our consulting business, we are seeking to enhance our Production Optimisation team with experienced individuals who are driven by solving complex technical challenges for our clients, that are fundamental in ensuring Energy Security.
Our Production Optimisation team are industry leading experts across:
1. Oil and Gas production – key to energy security
2. Green and Blue Hydrogen / Ammonia transportation
3. Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage
We are seeking to speak with individuals that have specialist Process, Flow Assurance, Metering and Allocation experience across the sectors above providing solutions throughout a project lifecycle.
The typical jobs roles that we are seeking to fill at all levels are; Flow Assurance and Process Engineers, Metering, Measurement and Allocation Consultants.
Whichever role you come into you will interface with a multi-disciplinary team of highly capable Subject Matter Experts, Consultants and Engineers to deliver best in class solutions that will ensure high customer satisfaction. Our Production Optimisation are part of our Digital consulting team, we support our clients to secure economic recovery from existing infrastructure, optimising assets and enabling extension of productive field life whilst accelerating the move towards net Zero. The work we do predominately enables Energy security whilst we transition. However, we are also growing our services across Carbon Capture Utilisation and storage and transportation of Hydrogen and Ammonia.

Expected:
13. Previous experience as a Process or Flow Assurance engineer or Metering and Allocations Consultant within one or more of the sectors listed above
14. Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills
15. Strong customer focus and team-working skills
16. Readily adaptable with excellent written and verbal communication skills
17. Relevant Engineering Degree for specialist area
Desirable:
18. Chartered Engineer or Scientist
19. Fellow of an appropriate professional institution
20. Commercial awareness of project delivery
21. For Flow assurance - proficient and hands-on experience with major flow assurance software packages. OLGA, Pipesim, Multiflash, LedaFlow etc
22. For Metering Working knowledge of Industry standards: API, AGA, GPA, ASTM, ISO, EI, OIML, GOST etc
23. A proven track record in management of flow assurance or Metering and Allocation studies
24. Good knowledge of HAZOP, process safety and risk assessment
25. Local market knowledge would be seen as an advantage
