As an SEN Teaching Assistant in an Alternative Provision, you will:
- Support students with additional needs, including SEMH, autism, and learning difficulties
- Help manage behaviour positively, providing a safe and structured environment
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons to engage and inspire students
- Build trust and strong relationships with students, supporting their social and emotional development.
We are looking for a committed and engaging teaching assistant to support classroom teachers by delivering small group or one-on-one activities tailored to students with varying abilities. You'll play a vital role in their educational journey, using your skills and dedication to help them succeed. Ideally, you'll have prior experience supporting young people in a classroom setting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in alternative provisions, PRUs, SEMH settings, or similar is a bonus – but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Patience, resilience, and a passion for making a difference
- A commitment to excellence in teaching and behaviour management
- Prior experience supporting classrooms in the UK
- Eagerness to collaborate with a dedicated team in a well-equipped department.
