Our client has been delivering top-tier heating, air conditioning, ventilation, drainage, and plumbing solutions for over a century, specializing in Residential, Hotel, Care Homes, Student Accommodation, and Commercial sectors. As a Senior Mechanical Estimator, you’ll contribute to the production of detailed tender bids, helping secure and deliver innovative, high-quality projects. Working within a supportive and collaborative environment, you’ll have the flexibility of hybrid working, balancing your time between their Birmingham office and home. Responsibilities In this role, you’ll be responsible for: Preparing and submitting detailed tender bids using estimation software. Managing queries and updating quotation documents. Presenting tenders to management, including labour, material, and prelim analysis. Producing tender analysis forms and risk assessments and maintaining the risk register. Collaborating with clients, sub-contractors, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to gather and communicate key tender information. Supporting contract teams during project installations and providing data for pre-construction and delivery programs. Assisting with apprentice training and overseeing estimators’ work to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Liaising with various departments to ensure seamless project delivery. Requirements To excel in this role, you’ll need: Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, ideally in Building services or M&E sectors. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and drainage. Proficiency in estimation software and relevant ERP systems (experience with 4PS is advantageous). Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication and presentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Additional Benefits 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. £5,000 car allowance (£450 per month).
