Container Movements Clerk Full Time, Permanent (Based at our Ipswich HQ) We're looking for a Container Movements Clerk to join our Logistics department. They will provide a link between Transport, hauliers and Port Operations departments, pre-advising empty and full containers to ports and depots. Skills and experience you'll bring to us Excellent numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Proven ability to plan and prioritise work, meet strict deadlines and be flexible in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Ability to address and resolve day to day business issues with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally. A continued positive attitude to new business challenges. Desire to improve current procedures Ability to always demonstrate professionalism. Previous shipping experience preferred. Experience working as part of a team and a willingness to assist colleagues. How you will help us and what you can expect Pre-advice of export containers in MSC and port community systems. Confirmation of empty restitution locations to customers and hauliers. Pre-advice of empty containers to regional ports and depots. Release of import line haulage containers from UK ports and depots. Cancellation of expired empty pre-advice. Creation of shipper-owned equipment records in MSC Systems for units entering the fleet. Monitoring of reefer booking temperatures ensuring all relevant systems are updated with correct settings. Notification of all identified pre-advice failures to Logistics Analysts team for investigation. Correction of illogical or missing equipment activity records in local and global systems to maintain their accuracy.
