This dynamic and creative organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their entrepreneurial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing relationships with key end-user clients, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive continued growth.\n\nGeneral Purpose of the Role:\n\nTo find and win new business along with organically growing, developing and manage existing accounts but equally as important is to be fully prepared to be part of a like-minded, friendly, hardworking team and be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get involved even in other areas of the business when needed!\n\nReporting to the Director, this role is multifunctional and will involve dealing with all customer groups in a strategic fashion with long-term client retention and business development being the main function.\n\nThis opportunity will give the successful candidate an exceptional platform to create and build their own role within the business in the medium to long term with the full backup and support of everyone within the business.\n\nYou will be working as part of a team to develop a sales and market share in the commercial office arena.\n\nPrincipally responsible for the development of projects, relationships and sales in the commercial segment of the business.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\n * Manage and grow existing accounts.\n\n * Find, pitch and secure new business sales within an agreed profile.\n\n * Pitch to end user clients and ‘professional’ teams to win business.\n\n * Pro-Active role.\n\n * Develop and forge relationships with key decision makers with End User clients across the commercial office arena\n\n * Contribute to overall sales strategy with Director.\n\n * Front-end sales, being able to lead & influence the client and be credible and trusted with decision making (internally & externally)\n\n * Liaison with clients & professionals across all disciplines & departments to ensure all requirements are covered.\n\n * Find, develop and refer opportunities to the team whenever possible.\n\n * Network with key industry representatives within the group and with external prospects to gain first class knowledge of key opportunities in the marketplace.\n\n * Work within the business and sales teams to develop own opportunities.\n\n * Maximise margin opportunities through negotiation with suppliers.\n\n * Manage & co-ordinate internal resources and assist in producing pitch & marketing documents for presentations.\n\n * Running projects with a key focus on driving sales & margin.\n\n * Overall responsibility for running projects to closure with the support of the operational teams.\n\n * Exposure with CRM system to develop agreed sales strategy\n\nProfessional Skills & Experience:\n\n * Proven experience securing and managing commercial office, workplace, fit-out furniture projects\n\n * Understanding of the commercial parameters.\n\n * Comprehensive understanding of FF&E, cable management, Ergonomics/Ergonometric (as known as Human Factors) and sustainability\n\n * Ability to make commercial decisions independently and within a team environment.\n\n * Confidently present fit-out proposals and concepts in a clear, engaging manner, effectively communicating how design elements such as acoustics, ceiling systems, access flooring, lighting, partitions, insulation, and building envelope solutions align with and support the client’s overall vision\n\n * Minimum 5+ years office Furniture | FF&E sales | Office Fit-Out Sales & Account Management experience.\n\n * Ability to manage clients at all levels.\n\nPersonal Attributes:\n\nA true and in a team.\n\nCandidates must have a background in Office Fit-Out, Furniture and Commercial Workspace solution sales.\n\nAbility to manage own accounts and introduce tailored customer solutions to drive sales forward.\n\nProven track record and a proactive approach to Solution Selling and having strong existing relationships with Commercial Office End user clients (Banking, Insurance, Tech, Law, investment etc)\n\nCompetent IT skills are required – MS Office, Word, Outlook etc\n\nExcellent communication skills with a friendly approach to problem solving.\n\nAbility to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail.\n\nSound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist the closing of sales opportunities.\n\nA high degree of professionalism and an exceptional understanding of the specification design process with the ability to communicate at each of these levels where necessary.\n\nAbility to prioritise work according to demand and work alongside colleagues internally and externally to deliver customer service excellence.\n\nSALARY & BENEFITS\n\nHIGH BASIC SALARY – (£75,000 D.O.E) + CAR ALLOWANCE (NEG) + PENSION + 24
