Contract Recruitment Consultant - specialised in Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) in Wind, HVDC & T&D markets
Control Engineer - 12 month rolling contract - Day rate - 7 days on, 7 days off - ASAP start date - Northwest
Hunter Philips are partnered with a leader in offshore wind who are looking to add a Control Engineer to their team. They will consider an experienced SAP for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working closely within a tight-knit team, covering shifts and holidays as required.
* Liaising with the TSO and the DNOs.
* Monitoring alarms, writing and approving switching schedules and the operations on plant and equipment up to and including 400kV.
* Writing and approving safety documentation.
* Providing coaching, mentoring and training for the junior members of the team.
* SAP / Control Engineer experience (preferably at 220kV or higher).
* Proven experience in offshore wind, DNOs, or TSOs.
* Understanding of SCADA systems, substations, and turbine SCADA.
* Ability to work to strict electrical rules and manage mechanical/electrical risks.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Minimum 5 years as SAP or Control Engineer.
* Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable – able to cover shifts and support the team.
Logistics:
* Working Hours: 12-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off.
* All inclusive day rate.
