The HR Assistant provides a wide range of human resource functions. This individual will work on filing and scheduling, coordinating, direct mailings, and working on special projects. They will also answer non-routine correspondence and assemble confidential and sensitive information. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload and to recommend changes in office practices or procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain employment files
* Ensure job postings are up to date
* Assist with coordinating employee onboarding, including orientation, setting up workstations and ensuring new hire paperwork is completed
* Miscellaneous updates within the UKG system including assisting with password resets, address changes, etc.
* Assist with general office tasks, such as ordering supplies, mailings, and printing
* Direct employee inquiries to appropriate HR team member
* Collection and retention of training related documentation
* Updating of any relevant HR data for events
* Employee vehicle updates
* Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Teams. Experience working with an HRIS system is preferred.
Qualifications and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in an administrative or HR role is a plus, but entry-level candidates with a strong interest in HR may be considered.
