Grade: Main Scale /UPS + TLR2 £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

Primary purpose of the job: To work with SLT to lead the Curriculum and Assessment across school
Responsible to: The Headteacher and Governing Body
Required: As soon as possible
MAIN DUTIES
1. Strategic direction and development of the school
2. Support the vision, ethos, aims, and objectives of the school
3. Experience/knowledge leading Curriculum development and Assessment systems
4. Support strategic whole school leadership and day-to-day operational matters
5. Drive, flexibility, and resilience to adapt to the needs of the school
6. Experience of supporting vulnerable families and willingness to undertake required training
7. Commitment to pastoral care of all staff
8. Develop effective working relationships with all staff
9. Outstanding classroom practitioner with knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and assessment systems
10. Active member of the leadership team
11. Lead role in the school’s self-evaluation processes linked to the Quality of Education
12. Work with the Headteacher, governors, and staff in formulating and delivering the School Improvement Plan linked to the Quality of Education
13. Consider national and local initiatives
Teaching and learning
1. Model high standards in outstanding teaching practice
2. Coordinate the curriculum and assessment systems throughout the school
3. Lead strategies to raise standards
4. Overview of assessment, recording, and reporting
5. Lead the coordination of a subject area
6. Prepared to teach in any age group when necessary
Pupil support
1. Share in the leadership of discipline and pastoral care for pupils
2. Lead collective worship
General
1. Carry out professional duties as outlined for teachers in the Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document
2. Promote the school, playing a proactive role in the local educational community at cluster and LA levels
3. Ensure effective communication both internally and externally
4. Show commitment to extra-curricular activities
5. Undertake any professional responsibility delegated to the post
