They now have a new opportunity to join their team as a Graduate/Junior Product Technologist. As Junior Technologist you will lead the way on delivering technical, ethical, and quality standards, and ensuring on-time delivery. Highly organised, you'll be able to proactively manage a wide range of responsibilities. This is an exciting and valuable role, ensuring strong partnerships with our teams and suppliers, and driving continuous improvement within the business. This is an initial Maternity Cover but could potentially go permanent. Candidate must be able to drive.
Junior Product Technologist - The Role:
* Auditing - Working in conjunction with PL team on factory audit, sharing information & knowledge to ensure that all supply partners meet our standards and information is updated in a central location.
* Ensuring suppliers/factories close non-compliances and re-audit where there have been failures. Provide regular updates to the business on status changes.
* Compliance across packaging and labelling. Working closely with the packaging design and suppliers to ensure product is delivered to the required standard
* Testing - Specify, review and act upon required product test, chemical, environmental compliance, and product safety requirements across the Brands product portfolio.
* Product Performance - attend product development meetings and engage in product risk assessment, highlighting areas of concern and advising technical solutions and product improvements.
* Approval - Ensure that all product components are delivered from suppliers and are commercially approved on-time to maintain delivery dates.
* Critical Path Management - Attend critical path meetings and keep all critical path documentation up to date with approvals.
* Manage the AQL procedure - Establish in-country AQL requirement and ensure suppliers adhere to this, capturing issues at source wherever possible.
Junior Product Technologist - The Candidate:
* Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team.
* Passionate about driving standards and building a positive impact in the supply chain.
* Attention to detail, ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities with meticulous time management skills.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to overcome technical challenges.
* Good interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross -functional teams and suppliers, approaching everything with enthusiasm.
* Experience with Microsoft Office programmes
* Interest in fashion and apparel brands
* Knowledge of materials, production processes and quality control for accessories along with industry regulation and compliance standards would be an advantage.
* Right to work in UK essential and driving license and own car needed due to remote location

* Salary depending on experience
