Job summary You will work across the Trust undertaking a clinical role in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of services for children and young people up until their 18th birthday. You will contribute and participate in multidisciplinary assessments ensuring a person-centred approach when delivering care. To provide a first line response to referrals, providing where necessary, a health and social care needs assessment, meeting the needs already identified in a health and social care needs assessment. To ensure accurate mental health risk assessments are carried out on admission, discharge and at reviews. Main duties of the job Assist the Ward/Department manager in maintaining standards of practice for any child or young person attending with an identified mental health need and/or complex psychological need. Ensuring practice is in accordance with the professional code of conduct, as well as local and national guidance. To lead in the implementation of robust risk assessments and care plans for patients who are identified with an eating disorder/disordered eating and children/young people with an identified mental health need and/or complex psychological need. Advise/supervise other staff members in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluating of nursing care specifically in relation to managing patients with an eating disorder/disordered eating and children/young people with an identified mental health need and/or complex psychological need.
