Role Overview
The Charge Nurse is responsible for leading a team of nurses and support staff to deliver a high standard of individualised patient-focused care, and coordinating clinical, administrative and operational activities. The Charge Nurse will be integral for promoting a “Community First, Company Second” culture, leading the way and creating a great place to work for teammates.
Main Responsibilities
1. Overall leadership and operations management of the clinic
2. Providing a seamless patient journey and an inviting environment for clients through all touch points
3. Liaising with external organisations such as NHS Trusts or the CQC with the support of the Regional Manager
4. Implementing new processes to drive quality improvements initiative through the clinic
5. Onboarding new teammates effectively alongside the wider team
6. Develop positive relationships with patients and handling any complaints that may arise
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant clinical, governance and regulatory systems and policies including KLoE
8. Maintaining accurate records and timely report submissions
Person Specification
9. Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission, or willingness to become one
10. Registered Nurse with renal experience
11. Previous clinical leadership experience in an outpatient haemodialysis setting
12. Engaging communication skills and a friendly demeanour to successfully connect with a diverse team and patients
13. Lead by example style to encourage a value driven culture that brings the best out of everyone
14. Proactive and solution orientated approach to changing situations in a clinical environment
15. Exceptional organisation skills to manage an array of different tasks associated with running a clinic
16. Evidence of Continued Professional Development, ideally in Renal Care
