About the Job You will be delivering a level of great customer service within the field of repairs and maintenance. This year we are looking to recruit apprentices in Business administration (office based). Earn as you learn whilst working alongside experienced colleagues who will help you to develop the skills the council needs. All employees receive 8 public holidays per year. 36 hour week for office based apprentices Health and Safety training at work About You You will be a Newham resident and have a desire to make a difference in the local community and with a commitment to improving their skills. You will be able to demonstrate the following: GCSEs, or equivalent qualifications Good communication skills Ability to work well as part of a team and use own initiative. A commitment to deliver high quality services to Newham residents and a knowledge of local issues. Organisational skills with the ability to focus on achieving targets. Reliability and punctuality Good ICT skills A commitment to undertake and complete a qualification via a structured apprenticeship training programme. Basic level of work experience About The Training You will be undertaking a professional apprenticeship standard. If you don’t already have GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent you will also need to complete Functional Skills training in Maths and English as part of your apprenticeship. Your responsibilities will include: Attending and participating in all classes and workshops on and offsite Learning, developing and demonstrating practical skills, Completing all tests and assignments Observing all employee policies, processes and procedures, Delivering presentations to colleagues and other stakeholders.
