Hays has partnered with a fast-growing manufacturing business. We are looking for an interim Assistant Accountant for 3 months, based in Gloucester, offering hybrid working 2–3 days in office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reconciling Accounts: Assistant Accountants handle entry-level accounting tasks, including reconciling accounts. They ensure that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
2. Managing Payroll: They assist with payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
3. Preparing Financial Reports: Assistant Accountants contribute to the preparation of financial reports, which provide insights into thepany’s financial health.
4. Updating Financial Ledgers: They maintain and update financial ledgers, recording transactions and ensuring data accuracy.
5. Assisting with Budget Preparation: Assistant Accountants may help prepare annual budgets for thepany.
6. Verifying Expenses and Payments: They verifypany expenses, bank deposits, and payments.
7. Reporting Discrepancies: If they identify discrepancies or potential fraud, they report them to senior management.
