About us
Simply Dine Events has an established eatery in Chobham, near Woking. Serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and private dining with 34 indoor covers in the restaurant and a further 10 covers outside in good weather. We need an experienced Breakfast Chef to join the team to provide an excellent, quality breakfast service for our customers. Shifts will be 7.45am to 2.15pm for 3 or 4 days between Tuesday and Friday each week, plus the possibility to do ad hoc additional weekday cover and involvement in the event catering if wished.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
2. Manage and plan kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, able to work alone or in a team
3. Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards
4. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
5. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
6. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role, ability to multitask, respond to breakfast orders quickly, capably and consistently
2. Hygiene Level 2 certification, current
3. Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
4. Excellent time management and organizational skills, able to reliably do early morning shifts
5. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
6. Creativity and innovation in menu planning and execution
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
8. Good communication skills
There is potential for the chefs employed to become trained and involved in event catering as there is lots of opportunity within the busy event catering company.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 19.5 – 26 per week
