GSL Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work within a SEN school in Nottinghamshire, where providing 1:1 and group support if required. The role includes working with children who have complex behavioural needs and using sports as a therapeutic method to manage challenging behaviours and to support the child’s learning away from the classroom.
The role includes:
1. Planning lessons against the National Curriculum and differentiating the work for children.
2. General group support.
3. Supporting the Class Teacher with daily tasks and planning.
4. Encouraging learning and concentration in lessons.
5. Acting as a positive role model, energetic and always willing to support.
6. Teaching GCSE standard English.
The ideal candidates will have:
1. Experience in working with young children in a mainstream school.
2. Experience working with Challenging Behaviour, Autism, ADHD, and Social and Emotional Mental Health.
3. Relevant qualifications will be an advantage.
4. Good understanding of the curriculum.
5. Ability to work full time – 5 days a week.
6. Access to own car and valid driver’s license (Essential).
Requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check – Must be on the update service. (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one).
2. 2x References are a must in order to clear your file with GSL.
