Senior Principle Applied Psychologist

Lothian Substance Misuse Service
We have an exciting opportunity for a 0.3 WTE band 8b Senior Principle Applied Psychologist to work within the Lothian Substance Misuse Psychology Team. The post holder (to be based in Edinburgh) will become part of a well-established and very welcoming substance misuse psychology team and will take a lead on the delivery of a recently established Alcohol Related Brain Damage (ARBD) outreach service for Lothian. This is an exciting opportunity that will include implementing a plan to support staff working across a range of health, social care and the third sector services in Lothian to manage ARBD effectively. This will involve leading a small multi-disciplinary team, developing and delivering a program of staff training, and offering expert ARBD consultation and advice. The nature of the post means there will be significant scope for role/service development as well as service evaluation and research.
The post could be offered as a job share/or on a reduced hours basis
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
