Permanent Role: Teacher of English

Are you an experienced and qualified English Teacher seeking a rewarding new role in the vibrant Newham area?
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join an Outstanding school, where you can make a real difference in the lives of students. The school is seeking an individual who can bring deep knowledge, creativity, and expertise to the classroom, inspiring students to cultivate a love for English and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess dynamic English lessons that align with the national curriculum.
2. Set clear behavioural expectations and maintain a positive, productive atmosphere both in the classroom and around the school.
3. Establish learning targets based on students' prior achievements and incorporate both formative and summative assessments into weekly and termly planning.
4. Contribute to the wider school community, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
5. Work flexibly as part of the team, assisting with curriculum delivery and providing pastoral support to students.
6. Teach Key Stage 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 (KS5) depending on your experience.
What We're Looking For:
1. Qualified teachers, including ECTs and experienced QTS professionals, are encouraged to apply.
2. Proven experience teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 is a bonus).
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to make complex ideas engaging and accessible.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
1. A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/QTLS) for secondary education.
2. An enhanced DBS disclosure (subject to checks).
3. A complete employment and education history, including explanations for any employment gaps.
