Position:
Role Accountabilities:
* Collaborate in the delivery of health and safety compliance across CSG Operations activities and sites including tanker operations, offices, sewage treatment plants and maintenance engineers.
* Review health and safety reports provided by site managers and upload the relevant details to monitoring dashboards to facilitate trend analysis.
* Review health and safety dashboards to identify trends and areas for improvement providing recommendations to the Health and Safety Manager.
* Provide the Health and Safety Manager with monthly reports on health and safety performance.
* Lead health and safety investigations at Operations and CSG Group sites to identify root causes and make recommendations on corrective and preventative actions to minimise future occurrences.
* Undertake health and safety audits to assess compliance with health and safety regulations identifying areas for improvement and provide mitigation strategies. Report the findings of audits to the Health and Safety Manager and site managers.
* Assist the Health and Safety Manager in the delivery of Operations and Group health and safety objectives.
* Attend and contribute to regular health and safety management meetings.
* Collaborate with the management team in the ongoing certification of health and safety accreditations including ISO 45001, Achilles and RISQS.
* Collaborate closely with Operations site managers to identify potential risks, providing expert guidance and recommending mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with the management team in maintaining the health and safety management system, including the creation and ongoing review of Operations and CSG Group policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe working methods.
* Provide bespoke risk assessments and method statements when required by customers and site managers.
* Assist the Health and Safety Manager with the production and delivery of training including toolbox talks and presentations.
* Keep up to date with health and safety legislation and any developments that affect the company.
* Self-manage the maintenance of your health and safety CPD.
* Promote a positive health and safety culture.
* Able to travel, on occasions at short notice, to CSG Group sites across the UK. Able to stay overnight to facilitate site visits.
Requirements:
The Candidate:
* Experience of undertaking health and safety audits.
* Experience of writing and reviewing health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe working methods.
* Strong communication skills across all management levels.
* NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent experience.
* Graduate member of IOSH.
* Full driving licence.
* Competent in computer use, writing audits and preparing reports.
