Field Service Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) Location: Nationwide (Travel Required) Salary: £44,000 per annum Overtime Opportunities Benefits: Company Van, Credit Card, Accommodation Expenses, and Daily Allowance Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer: Installations & Maintenance: Work on the installation and maintenance of machine tools, ensuring optimal performance and safety. PLC Work (if electrical): Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems. CNC Wheel Lathes: Experience with CNC wheel lathes would be extremely advantageous. Travel: Be prepared to work away from home up to 4 nights a week, with all travel arrangements and expenses covered. Problem-Solving: Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical issues on-site, minimising downtime for clients. Collaboration: Work closely with the wider engineering team to deliver high-quality service and support. The Ideal Field Service Engineer: Experience: Strong background in electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting. Experience with machine tools is essential, and experience with CNC wheel lathes would be a significant advantage. Flexibility: Willingness to travel and stay away from home for up to 4 nights a week. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of PLC systems and the ability to read and work from electrical schematics. Qualifications: Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) are essential. Additional experience in machine tool maintenance would be an advantage.
