Background
Learning Enhancement and Development (LEaD) supports, develops and influences education at City St George’s, University of London. We contribute to educational strategy, run a Master’s in Academic Practice (open to all staff at the University); work with staff to further develop their pedagogic practices; help implement and develop educational technologies and learning spaces; and support students in need of learning support.
Responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for supporting staff in creating multimedia content in the Media and Innovation Learning Lab (MILL) and in coordinating educational video productions. The Assistant Educational Technologist (Multimedia) will work with the Educational Video and Multimedia Specialist to maintain and manage MILL facilities and equipment.
The post holder will provide training and guidance to staff on Kaltura MediaSpace, H5P interactive content, and in using Zoom and Teams Meetings.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be a skilled user of multimedia creation and editing software. You will bring experience of supporting others to create effective and accessible multimedia resources. You will have experience of delivering training on a group and one-to-one basis.
You will have experience of writing accessible user documentation and reports and will be able to clearly explain relevant policy and technical information to different audiences.
With an aptitude for working with new systems and strong organisational skills, you will coordinate video productions, maintain video equipment and manage bookings and processes for the MILL.
