Role Summary:
An opportunity has arisen to join our company as Digital Marketing Lead, as we embark on an exciting digital transformation journey. We are a leading player in our field with ambitious growth plans, and you will be an instrumental member of a talented and dedicated management team.
The ideal candidate will be a data-driven digital marketing expert with a strategic mindset and a proven track record of executing successful digital campaigns. You will lead our digital marketing efforts, driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and engagement through various digital channels. You will be someone who lives and breathes digital marketing, demonstrating a deep passion for the field and a commitment to staying at the forefront of developments.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
o Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and leads/sales via the company’s portfolio of websites, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and wider marketing strategy.
o Manage and optimise digital marketing campaigns across PPC, SEO, affiliate marketing, and other digital channels e.g. programmatic display retargeting.
2. Performance Analysis, Budgetary Control, and Reporting:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive set of KPIs to track digital marketing effectiveness and ROI.
o Measure and report on digital campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimise spend and improve results.
o Produce a digital marketing performance dashboard, circulated weekly to key stakeholders.
o Use a range of analytical tools to evaluate end-to-end customer behaviour and engagement across multiple channels.
o Oversee and manage budgets for all digital marketing activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
o Continuously monitor spend against budget and reforecast as appropriate.
o Oversee the administrative side of budget management, including raising invoices and purchase orders (POs) to ensure smooth financial operations.
3. SEO and Content Management:
o Manage relationships with external digital marketing agencies, collaborating closely to implement SEO best practices and drive organic traffic.
o Oversee the creation, curation, and management of all published content to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
o Develop and execute local SEO/Google Business Profile strategies to support our team of c.80 Home Consultants across the UK, ensuring our proposition and service in each region appears prominently in local search results.
4. PPC and Paid Media:
o Collaborate with external digital marketing agencies to plan and execute both national and regional PPC campaigns with a focus on maximising ROI.
o Manage ad accounts, budgets, and bids, conducting regular keyword research and performance analysis.
5. Affiliate and Partnership Management:
o Expand and manage affiliate marketing programs, building productive relationships with partners to drive quality traffic and conversion.
6. Website and CRO:
o Continuously optimise the structure and navigation of our websites, performance, and visibility to improve user experience and enhance conversion rates.
o Develop and implement robust CRO testing plans, including A/B tests and similar methodologies, to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous optimisation of conversion rates.
o Collaborate with external digital marketing agencies to agree on and prioritise both front-end and back-end development projects, managing these from initiation through to timely and successful completion.
7. Data Transfer and Management:
o Take responsibility for the accurate collation and completion of relevant consumer data through our website forms, ensuring all information is captured effectively and efficiently.
o Collaborate with marketing and contact centre colleagues to optimise the data captured on our websites, ensuring maximum effectiveness of subsequent touchpoints in the user journey, with a focus on content personalisation and improving retargeting and follow-up activities.
o Take responsibility for managing and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely transfer of all data between our websites, central Oracle database, and third-party digital partners, including APIs and other data integrations.
8. Compliance and Best Practices:
o Ensure all digital marketing activities comply with GDPR, PECR, and other relevant regulations.
o Manage our cookies policy and compliance, adhering to ICO advice and the latest Google requirements/best practices.
o Consistently stay ahead of the curve by proactively researching and integrating the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, immersing yourself in the digital world.
9. Agency and Supplier Management:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with digital marketing agencies to ensure alignment with our strategic goals.
o Regularly review and provide constructive feedback on agency-led activities and performance.
o Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with agencies to ensure timely and successful execution of marketing initiatives.
o Take responsibility for managing online service providers such as Trustpilot, DotDigital, Loquate, and web hosting/domain providers, including handling invoices, annual contract negotiations, and ensuring accounts are up to date.
10. Offer Setup:
o Manage the setup of promotional offers on our Oracle system, ensuring they feed correctly into our websites and Home Consultant sales app.
11. Marketing Team Support:
o Play a crucial role in supporting the broader marketing team, including potentially in the areas of paid and organic social media marketing, email marketing, and best practice digital content. These areas are managed by a fellow team member; however, your expertise and experience will be invaluable in providing additional support and coverage.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* Extensive experience in digital marketing, including managing sizeable budgets
* Proven experience in PPC, SEO, and managing paid media campaigns
* Proficient in Excel
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* KPI management and reporting
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Adept at managing and driving the best out of digital marketing agency partners
* Team player
* Creative mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and push boundaries

Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
* Hands-on expertise in Google Ads
* Proficient in GA4 (reporting especially, but set-up too)
* Expertise in paid and organic social media
* Expertise in email marketing
* Degree in Marketing or a related Marketing/Analytical-based field
* People management experience
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (early finish on Fridays), 36.75 hours
