Starting in September 2025, this role will be based at our Ellesmere Port Campus.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and teach on a range of Construction (Plumbing/Electrical) courses;
2. Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment;
3. Train and assess learners in the workplace when required;
4. Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College and the workplace.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
1. Degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline;
2. PGCE or commitment to work towards;
3. Minimum of 3 years industry experience;
4. Demonstrate key industry practice;
5. Experience in the use of CAD would be advantageous;
6. Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
7. Up-to-date occupational experience;
8. Enhanced DBS check.
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme which provides staff with a range of support and training based on previous experience and individual need.
